One tree planted

One for one

As part of My Wooden Lifestyle's philosophy to raise awareness on climate change and the importance of forests, every article sold, meaning watches or sunglasses, will have an ecological impact.

By partnering with One Tree Planted, a non profit organization aiming at reforestation efforts worldwide, every product sold will plant trees, feeds family and changes lives for the better.

Every 2 seconds

man destroys an area of forest the size of a football field.

Climate changing

if forests are destroyed through logging or burning, their carbon is released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide, a climate-changing greenhouse gas.

121+

natural remedies in the rainforest can be used as medicines.

28,000

species are expected to become extinct by the next 25 years due to deforestation.

Trees absorb pollutant gases and filter particulates out of the air.

Trees clean the air we breathe and provide oxygen. In one year, an acre of mature trees can provide enough oxygen for 18 people.

Trees clean the water we drink and cool the cities.

By shading our streets and releasing water vapor into the atmosphere, trees prevent the climate of becoming dryer and increase atmospheric moisture.Trees play an important role in the water cycle : in the Amazon forest, more than half the water in the ecosystem is held within the plants.Trees clean the water we drink and cool the cities.

Trees combat climate changing.

300 billion tons of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, are stored in the forests, which helps regulate the climate by regulating atmospheric gases and stabilizing rainfall.

Trees provide habitat to 80% of the world’s biodiversity.

Diverse animal species live in forests and are losing their habitats to deforestation which can lead to species extinction. It is also a tragedy for medicinal research and local populations who rely on the animals and plants for hunting and medicine : ¼ medicines we take come from trees and plants.

Trees have a social impact.

Forests form a source of livelihood for many different human settlements, including indigenous people.

Planting trees also bring people together : it enables community involvement of people of all age, culture and gender and raises awareness to the environment. Everybody have an important role to play at a tree planting.

Trees provide health benefits.

Trees and plants provide health in many ways:

- ¼ medicines we take come from trees and plants,

- Stress reduction and a faster healing process

- Mental fatigue reduction

- Cleaning of the air and providing oxygen
